Their major cultural event the Elephant dance ”malee dance” draws a lot of tourist who witness this event grouping villages from the slopes of Mt Cameroon and its held between the months of November to April each year, each village has to host the event. We did this trip in December 2016 and had a fantastic time with Pete and his guides. We’re the people in the photo at the top of the page, and we can’t state enough how much the guys looked out for us. We spent an unforgettable New Years Eve at the Fako refuge after having summited that day, and a couple of days later we were camping by the crater lake in the jungle – at the time this wasnt offered on the tour but we were adamant to stay longer in this stunning spot and they were flexible to accommodate our interest. Although we didnt see any elephants we certainly saw plenty of signals of their presence, bad luck I guess. We finished the tour at the overwhelmingly comfortable beach hotel near Limbe (everything in life is relative), where we ate well before our final day on the Limbe city tour, where we ate well again and some fascinating cultural moments. I hope you choose this trip, we certainly enjoyed ourselves greatly.

I booked a Mount Cameroon tour for my family and me when they visited me in Limbe in summer 2018. From the first email enquiry to the final goodbye after 4 days of trekking through rainforest, grassland, and volcanic fields, Peter was always warm and friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive to our needs as a group — including the need to watch the champions league final the night before our departure. The incredible environments and scenery that Mount Cameroon offers were made all the more comfortable and fun thanks to Peter and his merry band of porters. I highly recommend him as a guide.

I had a fantastic time on my visit to Mt Cameroon. Peter was a fantastic host and guide and was so helpful during the planning process to answer all our questions to make sure we were prepared for our trip. The hike was gorgeous and all of his suggestions (like staying in the huts) were spot on! I would highly recommend working with Peter and his crew – you will thoroughly enjoy your trip and have lots of exciting stories!
